Steven Wendt

STEVEN WENDT – Performer/Devised Theater Creator/Musician, Puppeteer & Goldsmith

Creator/Performer of THIS & THAT at The Chocolate Factory Theater (NYC), HERE Art Center (NYC), Barbican PIT Theater(London 2024), Theatre Garonne (2026), Blue Man Group “Blue Man” at Astor Place Theater in New York City (2012-2025). Wendt also assisted in developing and performing the 2022 Blue Man Group North American Tour, Under Influence feature film by Sidney Leoni (Belgium 2015), Wendt was puppeteer on various commercials and web shows for Cartoon Network and Kids W.B.(2011), Other projects include shadow design and live foley for Open Throat at Little Island NYC (2024), contributions to The Soltanoff/Findlay Project (2010 Center Theater Group in Los Angeles), Ground to Cloud (2010) by Christine Marie at REDCAT (Disney Hall Los Angeles), and Growing Up Linda (2008) by Marsian De Lellis at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Steven Wendt is a recipient of a NYSCA 2026 Support for Artists Grant, Puppeteers of America Jim Henson Innovation Award 2023 and was nominated for a Henry Hewes Notable Effects Award 2023.
